Do your cabins need to be permitted?

  • Bivvi cabins are considered RV’s due to the fact that they are built onto a trailer chassis. This allows for much more lenient usage but permitting and land use is a complicated beast. Allowances vary on your site’s local jurisdiction so you should always do your due diligence first. Generally speaking, if any structure is intended to be used as a habitable dwelling, it will need to be approved for such use by your local zoning & building department. We highly encourage thorough due diligence and calling your local building department to confirm your cabin’s compliance with local codes.

The integrated trailer allows for completely seamless towing and delivery to your project location. We strongly recommend this first option, as it is the safest and most convenient for you. 2) You can always come to our factory and pick up your cabin in person.
